After a long time off, Mudy is back to work with a new single out today, “The Code.” Produced by Neely, the beat itself is fairly reserved, with a groove made up of cloudy synths and a smooth bass. The production, however, sets up Mudy to bring the track to life, with calm and collected verses that don’t have to be overperformed in order for her to flex. There’s a big player energy here, with a confidence that Mudy has built up over time to develop the cool that we hear from her on this track.
