AUDIO: Lake – “I’m Right Here”
Lake has a new EP out, and he’s blending genres on “I’m Right Here.” The three-song project invokes elements of pop punk and hip hop, merging them in the vein of artists like KennyHoopla and Sueco as of late. Lake does emo well, letting his emotions out over the course of these songs without it feeling manufactured. The addition of the title track indicates there’s some work being done to rediscover his sound, and a bit of sonic exploration generally pays off for the artist in the end.
