Hip hop artist Ja Dubb dropped a new tape in the middle of April. This body of work largely confronts finding yourself and stepping into your power in spite of what the world throws at you. Dubb raps with sharp flow about coming out of tumultuous times (“Lost My Mind”), people crossing her (“Straight Fire”), proving people wrong (“Need Me”) and surrounding herself with energy that’s going to move her forward (“We Got Next”); she’s come a long way and is ready to take what’s hers. On the features here are Can’t Go Broke (“Put You On”) and JP the Brand (“We Got Next”). Ja Dubb balances her obligation of looking back at her own growth with aggressive, prevailing demeanor in “The Other Side.”
