AyooLii burst on to the Milwaukee rap scene in the last few months, and that momentum carries into a new joint EP with Lil Sinn, “SinnCity.” Featuring production from ThatGuyEli, the slap rap sonic tendencies mash up with some more melodic synths here, creating a hectic amalgamation of sounds. AyooLii and Lil Sinn rap without regard for much of anything, and sporadically throw in some autotuned vocals for extra flavor. “SinnCity” is at the intersection of several different trends in hip hop, making for something that feels very original and exciting.
