Hip hop artist SammyCin dropped a three-song EP recently. Themed around feeling lost and holding shit in, Sammy gets a lot off his chest here in terms of struggling to feel truly understood. He turns to vices and does what he can to get by while sick of feeling he has to conceal what he deals with. Emotive production evokes an appropriately somber yet courageous atmosphere; fellow artist Azzy Lei is featured on the second song “Hide” to let out some of his own vulnerabilities. SammyCin balances singing and rapping to channel the pains and fears of being a young, growing artist with “SADBOY SAMMY.”
