Producer Phatbrane is already out with his first project of 2023, and it’s a journey with endless progression on “Seeds And Stems.” With reverbed vocal samples interspersed throughout the way, the project feels more like ambient jazz than true hip hop beats, but creates a variety of feelings along the way. Some beats are mellow, while others activate every bit of serotonin in your brain, with no shortage of pulsating beats and endless loops. It certainly isn’t a straightforward beat tape, and the little bits of sonic anarchy are what makes this one unique. Get weird with “Seeds And Stems” below:
