Death metal band Anomaly are out with a new record this week. Tormented, haunted riffage. Relentless blast beats. Roared lyrics of endless pain. Great terrors lurking in the woods and winds. All these things are features of Anomaly’s forceful odyssey through technical, prog, and melodic brutality. Embedded in the heaviness is an acoustic track about disappearances and curses in the great unknown, fanning the flames that the record breathes even though it’s instrumentally calmer.
