Somewhere in between the worlds of jazz and experimental music, Max Devereaux and Michael Sodnik released a new collaborative album, “Living On The Edge Of My Nerves.” While it would be generous to call these tracks, featuring a pair of guitars diddling with one another a jam session, there are glimmers of rhythm and synchronicity that can occasionally pop up here. The album can live up to its title, with anxiety-inducing bent notes and the formations of a riff that never truly come to completion. The album isn’t a project you’d put on to nod or dance along to, but there’s sonic merit to committing to experimentation. Check out the release below:
