Long-running electronica duo Cyberchump have a new album out, and no level of sonic texture is left untouched on “Quirks of the Zen Dog.” At nine tracks in total, the record is a journey within itself, with ever-evolving sequencing bringing in elements of funk, avant garde, electronica and more. Jim Skeel and Mark G.E. work well together here, creating a record that sounds like it’s jammed somewhere between what we thought the future might sound like, and the last remnants of early electronic music.
