AUDIO: Something to Do – “Assemble!”

Milwaukee’s premier ska punks Something to Do have returned with a new album. It’s nine songs where the band tackles social consciousness with the times; “First We Get the Money” goes after greedy capitalists, “Sunny Day” yearns for an equitable future, and “For One Not All” is about our previous asshole president as just a few instances. Huan-Hua Chye of Gentle Brontosaurus appears on “Extralegal Placebo” while string musicians Thea Vorass and Ross Gilliand about on the final track “Am I Still Coming Over.” While there’s plenty here that’ll make you jump around and spill your drink to, Something to Do aren’t fucking around when it comes to social justice. All proceeds are going to Indigenous Women Rising.
