Two years after their debut, Slug Rejector have a new self DIY EP out. “Live At Frankenstein’s” is a big step forward for the band, with tighter sounding recording, and definitely a more concise idea of where the band is headed musically. Artfully working in audio samples and piecing together spastic sounding parts to build an energetic four-track release, the band are full speed ahead on each of these songs. There’s no pretense, and the band manages to do the most with minimal pieces, giving you straightforward rock and roll that makes you want to move.
