Writing an album with someone specific in mind can be a tricky situation. Fortunately, Ave4’s new project, “For The Muse,” is done so eloquently and with a level of smoothness about it. Twelve tracks make up the album, which can feel obsessive when talking about one person. However, these tracks work as isolated moments, and only feel more powerful when combined. The beats are full of high-pitched vocal samples and early-2000s inspired energy, and it comes off as a true passion project, rather than a record of instrumentals directed at one person.
