Jazz-funk band Kal Bergendahl Project released an album a few months back. Featuring nine musicians, this record is multi-faceted in style while retaining a consistent personality. Several numbers are personable jazz numbers with spicy grooves and ensnaring solos, but the gentle piano interludes to not only cool things down but glue everything together. It’s interesting to note that the interludes are named the same as the track that follows but in French. Kal Bergendahl Project execute cohesion, fun, passion, and excellence all in one with “Parallels Chapter III.”
