AUDIO: Andy Warren Jepson – “Main St.”

Singer-songwriter Andy Warren Jepson has his debut album out. Recorded in his Racine apartment, Jepson’s songwriting reflects his feelings during quarantine, observing folks in his neighborhood, and living in close proximity to the Kenosha unrest. Under a dark yet artful mood he sings of healing from pain (“Go to Hell”), appreciating the time we have with one another (“Blue Foot”), and family trauma (“Grasses Like Hair on Mother’s Head”). It’s not an uplifting record by any means but one that processes grief in its raw form. Be sure to check out the video for the first track “Wilkommen” as well.
