AUDIO: TamperTamper – “Because Lately”
Experimental noise artist TamperTamper has a new album out. Beginning with a bong rip, George Jackson channels existential dread with creative fortitude using both string and wind instruments. She’s big on the idea that anything, even everyday routines, can become artful expressions if perceived as such. These tracks are bare bones and stream-of-conscious, reflecting on Jackson’s detached feelings of late, complete with two spontaneous vocal interludes. If you’re looking for something abstract yet direct, check out TamperTamper’s new body of work.
