The worlds of emo rock and hip hop have been linked within the last few years, and that allows for Petti Hendrix to experiment on his newest single, “Be Okay.” The track is a departure from some of the more trap elements of his previous songs, but Hendrix trades in 808s for heartbreak for guitars, harmonizing his bars. It’s a very contemporary approach to making music, but it’s always welcome when an artist takes their sound in a new direction. Check out “Be Okay” below:
