AUDIO: Scatterbrain – “Disoriented”

Matt Glassel has a plethora of projects under his belt whether it’s punk, noise, or an experimental mixture. His latest release is under Scatterbrain, where he experiments with tape loops and samples. The EP is presented as an exploration of his brain, as demonstrated by the cover art, where everything that makes Matt who he is takes up a piece of his mind. As the title suggests, his compositions are anxious and unsettled while generally shorter than two minutes. His inward angst gets unleashed in quick bursts of discombobulating sonic mayhem. If you’re looking for a left-field electronic noise excursion fueled by existential dread, look no further than Scatterbrain.
