It has 3 million streams to date and peaked at number 10 on iTunes.
Off the ‘Wings and Blue Cheese’ album, ‘Marinate’ is a soulful song with biting guitar. It featured artist Eric Debonair McNair. The song is the album’s opener which the duo described as “game-changing.” They said, “The song may not be recognized as blues at first listen, but then, play it a time or two more, you’ll see all the elements are present, and then some.”
Davis and Mr. Foster combined soul, R&B, blues, and pop into one single. Additionally, ‘Marinate’ was added to Spotify Editorial Playlist on September 4th, 2020. The duo shared, “This song and the others on the album Wings and Blue Cheese are all true stories that came from the heart of us and all the collaborators on this project.”
