AUDIO: Beamon – “Harvest”

In hip hop, the concept of standing out can often have the adverse effect, where everyone that tries to stand out ends up looking and sounding the same. That doesn’t apply to “Harvest,” the latest album from Beamon, which truly feels like it is something unique from a local perspective. With dark beats and darker lyrics, Beamon walks a line that tiptoes between trap and horrorcore, with blood-fueled flows that amplify the rapper’s hunger. It almost feels wrong to listen to this album in the daylight, as Beamon gets descriptive when talking about just exactly how he isn’t like other rappers. It’s loud, it’s aggressive, and it’s a project that truly doesn’t fit the mold of a typical rap release. Check out “Harvest” below:
