Alternative rockers Dreamhouse are out with a new video for the song “Closer to Comfort” off their 2019 record “Reverberating Silence.” Singer Brianna Jackson is featured singing bedside, and then as the chorus kicks in she’s shown out in the woods. The band is meanwhile rocking out in a dark, blue-tinged room. Andy Cizek enters for the bridge in the final movement of the song, singing of dreaming about a better life. It’s a song about wanting to run away and start fresh somewhere but ultimately choosing to remain where they are because they are “closer to comfort.” It’s a powerful, unique display of emotion that plays on powerlessness. We hope to see more from Dreamhouse by the end of the year.
