AUDIO: Aftertaste – “Burn After Licking”

Matt Glassel has been a boon to Milwaukee’s music scene through his devotion to DIY space Tsunami MKE (formerly Nausicaa), although he’s made music of his own through a number of projects. Aftertaste is his experimental-noise project of which he’s out with his first recording. The first track was done using a contact mic against a can and stones, while the second track favored keys, a saw blade, scrap metal, and tape loops. Noise music is so fascinating in the sense of everyday objects becoming tools of sonic experimentation. We look forward to watching Aftertaste expand on this in the future. Tapes will be available through Buffalo Cult Tapes next month.
