Seasoned hip hop artist D. Mayo recently dropped the deluxe edition of his last EP and it’s got three times as many songs as the original. Featuring collabs from Bob Lost, Reese Curry, Ells, TayDaGreat and Troy Alexander as well as Mayo’s freestyles, this tape pays homage to growing up in Milwaukee. It’s not always pretty but Mayo has love for it no matter how it gets portrayed. His message is focused and precise here; you can tell Mayo is passionate about having chosen this path in music despite the hardships that come with it as well as the unfortunate rep Milwaukee gets politically and socially. We always love to see artists not only proud to hail from the 414 but incorporate that pride into their music. D. Mayo has a good feeling about 2020 as far as his music goes and we are happy to support him.
