If you weren’t aware, bluegrass/Americana act The Grasping At Straws are basically not a band anymore, but had a last record sitting on the shelf for the better part of 2019. However, with time on their hands, their last studio recordings, which make up the new EP, “Last One”, has seen the light of day. The five track project has all of the elements that made the band rise to prominence, with twangy melodies and captivating vocals. This feels like the proper exit for The Grasping At Straws; well polished, clean, and a sound that puts them in their prime. We’ll miss the band, but we’re thankful for this parting gift as well.
