AUDIO: Johanna Rose – “Postponedalone”

Uncertain times can call for creative measures, and that’s the case with a new solo album from Johanna Rose. “Postponedalone” is described by Rose as “a series of demos, voice memos, and songs recorded at 3AM”, and captures a litany of solo material the vocalist had been working on, recorded in a very DIY setting. The eleven track release features Rose accented by keys, an upright bass, and not much else. In many ways, it’s an outpouring of demos, but the natural talent she possesses takes over for the rough technical spots of the recordings. “Postponedalone” is a great example of an artist taking control of a DIY recording method and making the most of it, and you can check out the album here:
