AUDIO: Black Canvas – “Death From The North”
Milwaukee’s metal scene has been quietly strong for some time, and the debut EP from black metal band Black Canvas is no exception. “Death From The North” is nothing short of intense, with it’s share of pulse-pounding drums and heavy riffs from start to finish. There’s some elements of hardcore mixed in on tracks like opener “Cold”, but the majority of the time is spent getting as heavy as possible. The closer of the four-track release, “Socioparasite”, is an all-out assault on the eardrums, and the band wouldn’t want it any other way. Black Canvas have a couple of live dates coming up, including gigs at Walker’s Point Music Hall and X-Ray Arcade.
