VIDEO: Maal Himself – “’96 More Or Less”

Maal Himself has been ever-constantly increasing his output as an artist recently, and the quality of his work never seems to lack. That’s true for his latest single, “’96 More Or Less”, a boom-bap inspired track that the Milwaukee floats on in terms of delivery. With production from Statik Selektah, and cuts from DJ Bizzon, the song is an homage to the “golden era” of hip hop, with the all-too-important distinction that it doesn’t sound like a dated release. Maal Himself shows us that bars still matter, with a mix of wordplay and swagger that gives almost any hip hop fan something to nod along to. We got two EPs and a pair of other singles from Maal last year, but it looks like things are only getting started for this cycle of music. Check out “’96 More Or Less” below:
