Milwaukee artist Maalik F is going into super saiyan mode this year. Just a little over a month after his latest project, “Wealth”, he’s back with a new trap-inspired single, “Power Up”. The first half of the song features a swagger-filled flow about, amongst other things, powering up, then the beat switches to showcase more of his R&B side of things once fully intoxicated. It’s an interesting way to show you the two sides of Maalik as an artist, combining his sounds to make almost two different songs in one. If you weren’t aware of Maalik’s music until now, this is a good example of both of his sounds. Check out “Power Up” below:
