House of Renji artist Emmitt James is back in a major way, recently releasing his latest project, “Jazz Cavities”. Originally from Milwaukee, but now residing in L.A., James brings a variety of styles together on his new tape, which is full of soulful hip hop. Kicked off by lead single “Oreos With My Kinfolk”, you get a sense of James’ unique flow right off the bat, with a track that you’re easily nodding along to before its finished. Lyrically, he touches on everything from being broke to literal dental hygiene and everywhere in between. There’s ultimately a healthy amount of funk to this project, which is Emmitt James’ motif more than anything else. Check out “Jazz Cavities” below:
