AUDIO: OQ – “Paradice 1”
And now for something completely different. A new Milwaukee duo comprised of two veteran musicians stepping out of their comfort zones has led to “Paradice 1”, the first release from OQ. The combination of Liam O’Brien and Cole Quamme has led to music that sounds like neither Liam O’Brien’s Faithless Followers or The Fatty Acids, each member’s respective acts, but something completely unique. A cavalcade of Milwaukee musicians also aid the project, coming and going from track to track to keep everything feeling melodic, yet chaotic at the same time. In addition to the regular release of the EP, OQ are also part of 37d0ed (pronounced “People”), an art collective created by Justin Vernon of Bon Iver. In any case, OQ is something completely new, and you can hear that below on “Paradice 1”:
