AUDIO: Xthedolphin – “Off The Wall” & “Lie Some More”
The Soundcloud-friendly wave of unconventional, alternative hip hop really hasn’t hit Milwaukee en masse yet. As artists like the late XXXTentacion, Tyler, The Creator, Juice WRLD and more push the boundaries of hip hop as a genre, not that many local names are headed in that same direction. Enter local artist Xthedolphin, and his pair of new tracks, “Off The Wall” and “Lie Some More”. With an emo feel to it, X has a sound largely to himself within the city. It’s in tune with what is happening largely on the internet, and if you listen closely, you can tell that he does have the flow and delivery that a traditional emcee might put out in a more profound way. We’ll be checking for more from Xthedolphin soon, but for now, check out both new tracks below:
