While there are many exceptional indie bands making a go of it in Milwaukee, Sundial Mottos have found a way to deliver some of the most stellar-sounding tracks of the last few years. Their latest EP, “II”, is a mixture of dream pop haziness and lo-fi rock energy. Tracks like opener “Alex” and “Gemini City” glisten on this release, thanks to well-developed songwriting, as well as post-production contributions from Ian Olvera and Justin Perkins. As an EP, “II” could easily blend in amongst releases from some of contemporary indie rock’s elite bands without any distinguishing flaws. Check out “II” below:
