Triple Eye Industries has been on a role as of late. The Milwaukee label has consistently been putting out good music, including the surprise drop of Chicago band The Terrible News’ latest EP, “We Smelled of Lavender”. The new release is a tough, slightly crass, straight up rock and roll album that carries an array of sounds from track to track. From the energetic opener “My Friends”, which is, as you might guess, about having shitty friends, to the more subdued “Hart’s Body”, The Terrible News can win you over in just a few short tracks.
