Deonte Neely had a strong 2017, and he’s already making waves in 2018 with his new EP, “Neely”. The three track project has a distinct feel to it, and features from Camb, Smokey Jonez, and Renz Young help craft that sound, as well. Opening track “No Scrubs” yes, features a flip on the TLC track of the same name, but also sets the tone for the project. The only solo track on the project, “(In America)”, is where Neely really shines, with some insightful bars to boot. Things close out with “Lowkey” featuring Renz Young, and the pair compliment each other’s flows well. All in all, for only being three songs, Deonte Neely makes an impression with this EP.
