Bright Black, the side project of No No Yeah Okay’s Josh Paynter, sounds completely different from his indie pop main gig. The band recently put out a new single, “The Salesman”, that absolutely crushes for two and a half minutes straight. Leaning more on the punk side of things, Paynter and co. show that they can push the tempo up and still make a well written single in the process. We haven’t gotten a project from Bright Black since their debut EP in 2016, but I have a feeling that will be changing soon. Check out “The Salesman” below:
