Sometimes, the product of taking time to reflect on the world produce the strongest work. That’s the case for Camb’s latest EP, “PurpleSky”. The Milwaukee emcee comes with seven strong tracks, including recent single “WayTooLong”. With his eyes on the prize, a focused Camb brings some of his best flows to date on this project. This is also predominately a solo effort, with Camb producing all of his music, save for some additional production from Renz Young and John-Nathan. Featured vocals come from Tay Drummond and Deonte Neely on “YeaYea!” and “MoodSwings”, respectively. This is undeniably a strong effort from an emerging artist within the Milwaukee hip hop scene.
