AUDIO: Twin Brother – “Alone In Austin”
With a sound incomparable to many, Twin Brother’s latest release, “Alone In Austin” is a must-listen. The band combines gritty, almost southern-sounding indie rock with folk and country influences, and the piercing contrast of bright horn parts add an extra dynamic to their sound. In just four tracks, the band wins you over with an EP that sounds larger than life at points. This comes out of great songwriting, particularly on the title track, but well crafted and performed parts throughout the release really bring things together. It’s a mixture of old and new, with songs crafted to an almost vintage tone, combined with the emotion of contemporary indie, and it just works, plain and simple. Check out “Alone In Austin” below:
