VIDEO: Tacoma Washington Weekday Club – “The Father”
Many times, when a band tries to adopt what is now considered the standard indie rock ethos, their music and overall spirit can feel like a copy of another band. Milwaukee indie rockers Tacoma Washington Weekday Club, however, feel authentic with their delivery, and that’s evidenced by their new single and video for “The Father”. With plenty of energy injected into the song, the band pour their hearts out as they rip into relentless guitar riffs, with the track picking up energy as it goes along. This feels like some of the great emo records of the early to mid 2000s, with an added modern twist to make the song feel anything but stagnant. The track comes from the band’s debut album, “All I Loved, I Loved Alone”. Check out the video for “The Father” below:
