AUDIO: Matt Costa – “Call My Name”

Earlier this year, Director William A. Kirkley released “Orange Sunshine”, a documentary about the Brotherhood of Eternal Love, the spiritual hippies and surfers that populated California in the 60s and 70s. The group collectively became the biggest suppliers of LSD, and were very influential on the psychedelic movement. Matt Costa created the film’s soundtrack, which is due out on Varese Sarabande for release on November 11th. The soundtrack’s first single, “Call My Name” is perfect for the southern California vibe that the film gives off, and also incorporates elements of 60s era pop music. The lo-fi style of the recording gives off the vinyl effect, and takes you back to that era almost instantly.
