Without much (or any) knowledge of who Mariachi El Bronx are, I pressed play on their third self-titled mariachi album. Then, I went to Google to figure out more about them. Turns out that Mariachi El Bronx are also punk band The Bronx. I’ve heard of them! Who knew? Thanks, Wikipedia. Anyway, while mariachi music might not really be your thing, this will surprise you. It’s not punk with mariachi-style horns, because that’s ska, but it is a blend of acoustic guitars, horns, and melodic songwriting that will draw you in. More punk bands need to also be other kinds of bands. Check out Mariachi El Bronx below:
