2014 is bound to be a great year for this week’s Milwaukee Artist of the Week, Vonny Del Fresco. Recently, the high profile, up and coming emcee dropped his video for “Noir Designer”. Premiering on Earmilk, VDF made a name for himself early in the year. “Noir Designer” comes in advance of his “After The Fall” EP, which undoubtedly will bring in more of the same exposure that his latest visuals garnered.
Aside from his upcoming project, VDF has already made a name for himself in Milwaukee. With a flair for design and style, he combines true lyrical skill with ambient, laid back beats. With some occasional R&B flare thrown into his music, Del Fresco’s style is pure smoothness. As the “Noir Designer” video shows, Vonny Del Fresco can carry the spotlight all on his own, as well. His flow is just as artistic as it is mainstream, which is a harder feat to pull off than it sounds. Vonny Del Fresco is ready for mainstream exposure.
“After The Fall” will be a coming of age of sorts for Vonny. While he’s dropped a handful of great songs that have circulated on Soundcloud, including frequent collaborations with Dee Phr3sh!, this EP is a complete project all his own, and I’m guessing it will turn quite a few heads.
