VIDEO: Honey Creek – “Green Line”

Local pop-punk act have been teasing the follow up to their most recent EP, “The Time It Takes” is on the way, and we have another inch closer to that with the video for single “Green Line”. The song is the only thing that the band has put out this year, following a lineup change and a new lead singer. The video, however, is full of DIY fun, featuring a summer house party kegger that makes you wish it wasn’t freezing outside. We’ll be looking forward to the new project from the band when it does ultimately drop, and you can enjoy the all-too-catchy “Green Line” with the video below:

AUDIO: Honey Creek – “Green Line”

Local pop punks Honey Creek are back after a transitional period, with a brand new singer in Chris Merisalo and brand new single, “Green Line”. The song talks about growing up and making changes, and you can hear that in the elements of this song. While many of the core parts of the Honey Creek sound are there, and the too-catchy hooks remain, this feels like the next step forward for the band. The song was released on Friday with a message from the band thanking fans for staying with them through their recent changes, and it sounds like things are moving full speed ahead for the group once again. B&E Weekly Jams: 7/22 – 7/28/2018

We’re into the back half of July, and a ton of great Milwaukee music was released last week. The majority of last week’s releases were hip hop, and rightfully so, they make up the majority of this week’s B&E Weekly Jams. New tracks from WebsterX, Von Alexander, Vincent Van Great, Dana Coppafeel and Yo-Dot, Raze, B Justice and Mike Regal all make appearances on the playlist. We also have tracks from Honey Creek’s new EP, and a sample of the Ako/Tigernite/North by North show that hit Company Brewing last week. Check out the playlist below:

Honey Creek are back in full force with their new EP, “The Time It Takes”, and they’re ready to take the world by storm. The release is five tracks of pop punk in its purest form, but you’ll be singing and bouncing along to choruses within the first listen. The band has a knack for catchy songwriting, and that comes out in this, their longest release to date. For a young band that is still establishing themselves, Honey Creek have tremendous potential to break out onto bigger stages with their ability to craft a song. The sound is there, and if you don’t believe me, “The Time It Takes” is available to stream below and convince you:

VIDEO: Honey Creek – “Drowning In Sunlight”

It seems like fresh-faced, bright eyed pop punk bands are a dime a dozen some days, but homegrown talent Honey Creek have something special about them to break through to the mainstream. One listen to their new single, “Drowning In Sunlight”, from their surprise two song EP “I Don’t Know What I’m Doing”, and you can see that the band could very well rise to the ever-elusive next level with the right push. With a sound comparable to a young New Found Glory, the band has a power-pop sound that makes you reminisce of when a similar wave of music dominated the Warped Tour. Keep a close eye on Honey Creek, because they could be poised for something big in the very near future. You can check out their video and EP below:
