Last week, producer, engineer, and rapper Raze returned to drop a new EP, “A Weekend In Summer.” Never one to hold his tongue, the six-track release is full of direct, straight-ahead raps that carries its own unique funk. In terms of flow, Raze may be at his sharpest here, mixing up cadences with ease, doing what he’s done best for over two decades. “A Weekend In Summer” is just a glimpse of what Raze is capable of, combining the sounds of a previous generation with a refined proficiency when it comes to lyricism that only comes with age.
