Composer Alicia Rytlewski’s debut album, “When We Were Bears” released this past Friday, and it’s nine years in the making. With Rytlewski on piano and strings, accompanied by Ben Kalb on cello and Abigail Peterson on violin, there’s an outpouring of emotion that comes out across these tracks. Each piece carries a feeling of elegance to it, thanks to intricate piano parts, and the layers of strings give these compostions extra weight and drama. Rytlewski will celebrate the release of “When We Were Bears” at the Pabst Theater with Collections of Colonies of Bees and Field Report in the return of the 10 Buck Show. Tickets are available here.
