It’s officially Midwest emo season, and Buena Cara are ready in full force with their self-titled album that came out at the beginning of the month. With 12 tracks of bending guitars, progressive drum patterns and introspective lyrics, this is the album that you need to get through a cold winter. There’s even a self-titled song to go with the self-titled album, representing the band at its purest. With intricate interplay between the band members on songs like “Untether Me,” this one will have the fans of technical guitarwork smiling through their tears, and the record never loses its emotion, as well.
