Night Ark are a new indie folk duo consisting of Port Washington natives Alex Quade and Louie Schurrer, bringing what they describe as a “world percussion twist” to their sound. They dropped their debut EP a few months ago, featuring six songs where they experiment with improvisation and orchestration by way of lush, tranquil compositions, mostly instrumental. It feels like “Away From Home” could be the soundtrack to a montage of Wisconsin’s natural landscapes, flora and fauna. Night Ark deliver a wonderfully crafted debut project, and we look forward to what they do next.
