Alternative rockers Farewell Moonlight released their debut album last month. The 11-track record journeys through different stages of friendship and grief, incorporating elements of emo, folk, post-rock and even some power pop. Released just in time for colder months and shorter days, the eclectic display of layered despair and catharsis here confronts trials of rumination, endurance and acceptance, enlisting singer-songwriter Limber Brain (who also serves as the album’s producer) for penultimate song “Frets Of My Guitar.” Farewell Moonlight masterfully conjure a stormy atmosphere with “The Longest Winter.”
