Lit Tiaa dropped an EP last month, and she’s not afraid to put politics up front with “The Other America.” Picking mostly mellow production for this release, Tiaa talks about the harsh realities of growing up Black in America, and the injustices that merely come from a skin color. Whether she’s talking about systemic racism, impoverished schools, or growing up in a tough situation, she speaks from the heart, and you can hear that across each bar of the EP. “The Other America” aims to open eyes, and it certainly accomplishes its goal.
