DaveKevinAdam is a veteran emcee, and he’s showing that on his latest EP, “Ion Know Yet,” which dropped at the end of August. Four tracks of soulful samples get the DKA treatment on this one, with verses that pull in elements of abstract flows and clever wordplay. The swagger is unrelenting, and each track feels like it has the potential to be a big single. At this point, DKA has an extensive catalogue of music, but each addition gets a little crispier than the last. DaveKevinAdam is on top of his game, and “Ion Know Yet” is an indicator of that.
