Country rockers Dusk released a new album out on Don Giovanni Records this week. It’s nine songs that nod to classic roots and beating Midwestern hearts with a masterful blend of quintessential rock and roll, honky-tonk and traditional soul elements incredibly unique among regional bands. Dusk is the kind of group who will pull their crowd together from many different pockets and tastes where next thing you know you’re making friends with folks who were total strangers an hour ago. With plain-talking lyrics, group vocals, pastoral imagery and polished melodies that sway and groove, “Glass Pastures” is a handsome offering of Wisconsin sonic flavor.
