Singer-songwriter Mason Mattner released two new songs recently. The tunes find Mattner in both new and familiar sonic configuration, incorporating synths and a different vocal approach on “For Better or Worse” while utilizing his previous guitar-bass-drum instrumentation (East Seawright, Grant Gosizk) for “Intentions.” Both songs touch on drifting away from people you were once close to, bringing garage pop sensibilities to channel the demons of loneliness and departure. Mason Mattner’s gearing up to release his debut EP soon, so stay tuned!
